Adding multiple water fountains or bowls in different locations around your house can help encourage your cat to drink more water. You can also add a splash of flavoring, such as tuna or chicken broth, to the water to make it more enticing.

To help keep your indoor cat entertained and mentally stimulated, provide them with a variety of toy options. Interactive toys, puzzle feeders and scratching posts can all provide both mental and physical stimulation and can help ward off boredom for your cat.

Clay-based cat litters are often used for controlling scents, as they are generally best at absorbing moisture and trapping unwanted odors. If you have multiple cats in your home, silica crystal litter can be another great option.

To help keep your cat’s litter box clean, scoop the litter box daily to remove solid waste and clumps. A complete litter box change, including cleaning the box and adding fresh litter, should be done at least once a week.
