I like the door but you can not buy replacement parts that break hinges for the flaps, this would safe us a good bit of money and time to replace the whole door it takes about an hour to replace the whole door. Need to be able to buy just the hinges.

It's Great Until You Need To Replace Something

This door was great until the black part that attaches the flaps to door breaks. Pet Safe doesn't sell replacements for this part or include them with replacement flaps so my only option is to buy an entire new insert.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Snap on cover - the worst

Do NOT purchase this dog door. Whoever invented this clearly has never actually used it. If you are never needing to close the dog door to keep an animal in or out, then it’s great! But if ever need to close the door then stay far away from this one! It’s a cheap SNAP on door instead of the obvious slide on that is easy and works well. The cheap snap on barely snaps on! And like others said, a slight breeze will blow it off. I hate that we wasted our money on this very defective product that we are now stuck with.
No, I do not recommend this product.

We're so sorry to hear you've had difficulty using the closing panel for your door, Janelle! Though it is different from our slide down panels, it is still very sturdy, and though any closing panel can be removed be a determined animal, this panel will not come off easily/without force when installed as intended. If your panel is falling off/coming off very easily, this lets us know it is not fully snapped into place.
There is a bit of a trick to using this particular closing panel. The best way to attach it is to first place both your thumbs near the center of the closing panel. Then, with your thumbs kept in place, grab the two handles on the sides of the closing panel. When you have a grip on them, press into the center of the closing panel with your thumbs and at the same time pull out on the handles while you place the closing panel over the door opening. Then slowly release the pressure from your thumbs and fingers to tightly secure it to the door frame.

Not good

Do not recommend this door. The panel to keep animals out does not fit well and my dogs just push it off and come in as they would like. Defeats the purpose when I am trying to keep them out.
